Installation manual addendum for Vibiemme Domobar
This page has been deprecated as the contents have been merged in the regular installation manual at https://mecoffee.nl/mecoffee/installation/.

Step 1: identical

Step 2: remove sensor cable from meCoffee at meCoffee side

– remove top cover
– remove water reservoir
– remove top plate
– remove cover screws ( left, right, back? ) and lift the cover off backwards ( might need to lift it a bit )
– optional: remove the white wires from the water reservoir microswitch

To prevent boiler from heating up: Jean-Jacques: is this covered by disconnecting the microswitch?

Connect meCoffee#1#Green to the upper terminal of the power button at the side where the original white wire(s) are mounted.

Connect meCoffee#3#Red to the upper terminal of the power button at the side where the original red wire(s) are mounted.

Step 3: remove steam thermostat and place meCoffee sensor, then reconnect sensor cable to your meCoffee

Step 4: trace red? wire from the boiler element back to the thermostat, remove this wire from the thermostat and plug in the meCoffee#4#Gray

Step 5: Plug the active-pid cable meCoffee#5#Black on the switched terminal of the lever-micro-switch

Step 6:
– this step currently requires the beta-firmware and beta meBarista
– remove the non-white wire from the pump ( Jean-Jacques: which color is it ? )
– replace with meCoffee#6#white
– go into meBarista#Settings#Hardware#Output3 and change it from Valve to Pump
– remove existing wire from brew-micro-switch ( might not be needed as we removed the wire from the pump already )

Step 7: connect meCoffee#7#Black to the upper terminal at the side where the original wire from the steam thermostat is mounted ( Jean-Jacques: which is it? which color? ). terminal has double red wire going to steam thermostat AND brew thermostat

Step 8: not needed, Domobar’s have their pumps wired correctly already

Step 9:
– move green and red at the power-button to the lower terminals
– do something with the white wire going to the boiler to make the connection independent of the state of the power button
– connect meCoffee#8#Black to the upper terminal at the side of meCoffee#3#Red

Step 10: meCoffee is supposed to go on the vertical area behind the boiler, at the right side, sensor cable facing upwards. Mount with the supplied velcro. Jean-Jacques: at which side of your machine do the input & output hose to reservoir go? This might influence the prefered position of your meCoffee.
