Step 6 : Preinfusion

Step 6 : Preinfusion
Preinfusion allows you to program a small pause in the brew-process, typically after a few seconds to ‘weld’ your coffee puck.

To achieve preinfusion capabilities your meCoffee needs to control the pump and the valve of your machine.

Note: this is the installation manual for the legacy version of meCoffee shipped before July 1st, 2017.

meCoffee Preinfusion, connect pump(white) to terminal #2 and the valve(orange) to terminal #5.

This functionality requires Active PID.

Locate the brew button of your machine ( upper left ).

Disconnect the switched neutral wire from the brew button ( upper left, white ).

Fetch the white female-to-male wire from the second cable set.

Connect this wire to terminal #2 and insert the male side into the previously disconnected wire from the brew button.

Disconnect the switched live wire from the brew button ( upper right, orange ). Reconnect the black Active PID cable from the previous step to the upper right terminal of the brew button.

Fetch the orange female-to-male wire from the set and use this to connect the disconnected live wire ( orange ) to terminal #6.

The upper left terminal of the brew button stays unconnected.

Definition of success
